I had a previous career in finance for over 30 years before following my long-held desire to return to school and embark upon a career in a healing profession. My own personal experiences with early life family dysfunction, trauma, and loss – and close encounters with the struggles of family and friends suffering from substance dependence and mental illness – led to many years of personal healing and growth work. These experiences forged in me a fierce compassion and dedication to the healing of suffering.
I believe that we all have a natural inclination toward healing and growth, and I strive to help clients discover, strengthen, and trust their own capacity to become their best selves. While this work together will include unique approaches for each individual, I believe that the most important ingredient for healing is the sense of safety, trust and connection between the therapist and client.
I strongly believe that the suffering we experience in life, once explored and healed in the presence of a safe, compassionate and experienced guide, can become our “super-power”. I have had the benefit of such guides in my own life, and those powerful experiences have instilled in me the belief that healing and a greater sense of well-being is always possible. I am deeply grateful to my beloved allies, guides and teachers for their love and support, and I seek to honor them by helping others as they have helped me.
